Grão Vasco Museum

The main collection of the Grão Vasco National Museum exhibits a remarkable set of altarpiece paintings, from the first half of the 16th century, by Vasco Fernandes - the Grão Vasco, his collaborators and contemporaries. In addition to these works, which were mainly executed for Viseu Cathedral, there are others from churches in the region, as well as deposits from other museums.

Mondego Footpaths

The Mondego Footpaths ( Passadiços do Mondego) are located in the municipality of Guarda and are inserted in a territory recognized by UNESCO as Geopark Estrela. It is a route of about 12 km, along the Mondego River, and passes through places like Videmonte, Trinta, Vila Soeiro and Barragem do Caldeirão. The route, of unparalleled beauty, offers walkers breathtaking landscapes and includes crossing areas, footbridges and suspension bridges.
